NextGen CM/ECF Registration Information
In order to electronically file in the Court's Next Generation of Case Management/Electronic Case Filing ("NextGen CM/ECF") system, a login and password must also be obtained from the Public Access to Court Electronic Records ("PACER") Service Center (https://pacer.uscourts.gov/).
Attorneys:
Currently filing electronically in the federal courts:
If you are an attorney and you currently file electronically in the federal courts, complete a CM/ECF Attorney Registration Form (Form A) and mail it to the Court with an original signature. The Court does not accept registration forms via fax or email. Upon receipt of your CM/ECF Attorney Registration Form (Form A) we will notify you of any additional training requirements. Once all training requirements have been met and you have requested access via PACER to the Court's NextGen CM/ECF System, you will be authorized to electronically file documents in the Court's NextGen CM/ECF system. All attorneys who wish to practice in this Court are required to review the Court's Local Rules and CM/ECF Administrative Guide of Policies and Procedures, Appendix A to the Court's Local Rules, before submitting Form A.
Not currently filing electronically in any federal court:
If you are an attorney who has never been trained to file electronically in a federal court, you must be trained on the NextGen CM/ECF system before you will be authorized to electronically file documents in the Court's NextGen CM/ECF system. Training may be received in person from another federal court or by reviewing the Training Resources on this Court's website. Training documents are listed on page 4 of the CM/ECF Attorney Registration Form (Form A). Once all training documents have been reviewed and you have requested access via PACER to the Court's NextGen CM/ECF System, you will be authorized to electronically file documents in the Court's NextGen CM/ECF system. All attorneys who wish to practice in this Court are required to review the Court's Local Rules and CM/ECF Administrative Guide of Policies and Procedures, Appendix A to the Court's Local Rules, before submitting Form A.
Training documents that are required for attorneys are also recommended for their staff, paralegals, and legal assistants.
Filing Agents:
Attorneys who employ a paralegal or legal assistant to assist in filing documents in CM/ECF may register that person as a “Filing Agent”. This type of user account enables an agent to file on behalf of the attorney with a distinct login and password with the attorney name showing in the docket text. The option to associate multiple filing agents is available for attorney, trustee, and US Trustee user groups.
To add a Filing Agent to your account, you and the Filing Agent must complete CM/ECF Filing Agent Registration Form (Form C) and mail it to the Court with original signatures. The Filing Agent must also be trained on the NextGen CM/ECF system. Training may be received in person from another federal court or by reviewing the Training Resources on this Court's website. Training documents are listed on page 3 of the CM/ECF Filing Agent Registration Form (Form C). Once all training documents have been reviewed and you have requested access via PACER to the Court's NextGen CM/ECF System, you will be authorized to electronically file documents in the Court's NextGen CM/ECF system.
Limited Use:
The Court allows the electronic filing of certain pleadings by Creditors through its website, without requiring a login and password to the NextGen CM/ECF system. Visit the For Creditors page to electronically File a Proof of Claim; Withdraw a Proof of Claim; File a Rule 3002.1 Claim Supplement Form; File a Reaffirmation Agreement; or File a Creditor Request for Service of Notice.
